My husband and I bought this recently after a recommendation from my son, and we couldn't be happier. We had an old CRT HDTV from about 8 years ago, and it finally went out on us. These new LCDs are excellent, they take up less space, add a classy look to our living room, and put out an excellent picture. I thought our DVD player looked great on it, but we received a blu-ray player for mother's day and all I can say is wow. I'm not familiar with all the bells and whistles yet, but I've never seen a clearer picture on a home theater before. We definitely got our money's worth.
